Job Title:
Assistant to Artistic Director of Rusty Squid Ltd
Job Offer:
Rusty Squid Ltd currently has a 0.4 (2 days/week equivalent) opening. This is a temporary role lasting 6 months with potential for extending the position. Position starts May 1st.
Salary:
Negotiable dependent on experience.
Job Description:
The role will primarily provide personal support to David McGoran, the current managing artistic director, to free up his workload and provide him more time to focus on the core business. This is largely a secretarial and administrative role. Excellent, office, numerical, financial, and IT skills are required. However experience with copy and a strong aesthetic and design sense is also important as you will be supporting marketing and communications. You will also be asked to assist with the wider activities of the studio such as our summer school, micro projects, R&D;, grant writing and the construction of the new Squid Lab. Excellent organisational skills and good business sense is required. Training will be provided where needed.

The ability to be flexible, multitask and switch between activities effortlessly at short notice is essential.
The role will suit a recent graduate or similar individual who is aspiring to become a producer, manager, or entrepreneur within the emerging creative technology and design industry.
